Recently, Billy Ray Cyrus, father of „Hannah Montana” television show’s star Miley Cyrus, has revealed that president-elect of the United States Barack Obama’s two daughters had been invited to appear on the TV series.

Malia and Sasha Obama would be featured in an episode that has been scheduled to be filmed the following year, if the invitation to join the cast is accepted.

Billy Ray Cyrus, who plays Hannah Montana’s father on the children’s TV show, has declined to give out any further details, stating that the first daughters’ appearances on the Disney series was to be kept a secret.

According to Barack Obama, his 10-year-old daughter Malia is a huge fan of „Hannah Montana,” which revolves around the story of a girl leading a double life, portrayed by 15-year-old Miley Cyrus. During the day, the teenager, named Miley Stewart, is just an average school girl, while by night, she turns into famous pop singer Hannah Montana, striving to keep her identity under the wraps from everybody except close friends and family.

The Emmy Award-nominated series debuted on March 24, 2006 on Disney Channel, having now reached its third season, which is still filming at the moment.

Billy Ray Cyrus, among other stars on the TV show, have confirmed that a „Hannah Montana” movie was in post-production, being slated for release at the beginning of April 2009. Filming began in April this year and was completed a few months later, in July. Much of the movie was shot in two locations, Columbia, Tennessee and Los Angeles, California.
