O.J. Simpson just can’t get
enough of making his life even more complicated. After being charged with armed
robbery at the Palace Station Hotel Casino in September 2007, Simpson managed
to stay out of jail by paying a $125,000 bail, but the sweet taste of freedom
was too …sweet for ‘The Juice’, as he violated the terms of his bail.
The former football player and
actor was taken back into custody after allegedly trying to contact one of his
co-defendants in the robbery case he is involved in. After a motion has been
file in order for his bail to be revoked, he may be forced to remain in prison
until his trial in April. O.J. refused
to talk to the press, but his lawyer denied the accusations that his client had
tried to contact any witness.
The motion set to revoke Simpson’s
bail said: “Defendant [O.J. Simpson] attempted to dissuade a co-defendant from
testifying and cooperating with law enforcement. Defendant directed his bail
bondsman to contact co-defendant Clarence steward to give him a message from
the defendant.” According to the Associated Press, Stewart’s lawyer said his
client had never been contacted.
The ex-football player left a
voicemail message on November 16 to Miguel Pereira, his bondsman, telling him
to contact CJ Steward and tell him how frustrated he was about the testimony: “ I just want, want CJ to know that the whole
thing all the time he was tellin' me that s**t, ya know, I hope he was telling
me the truth don't be trying to change the mother f***ing s**t now, mother f***ing
a**holes I'm tired of this s**t. Fed up with mother f***ers changing what they
told me, alright?"
Simpson, 60, will be brought
before a Las Vegas judge on Wednesday, when he will face charges of violating
his bail terms, as District Attorney David Roger said. Until then, he will remain
in custody at the Clark County Detention Center.
