Pregnancy is already taking its toll on Ashlee Simpson who announced that she's postponing her summer tour mainly due to the baby.

Although sales for her new album aren't going very well, the 23-year-old singer, who just recently confirmed she is expecting her first child with new husband Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz, claims she wants to focus on her pregnancy.

"I’m really sorry to announce that I’m going to postpone my tour this summer," Simpson-Wentz wrote on her official website, explaining her reasons such as "jury duty," "creative differences," and obviously, "the baby."

"The truth is I want to put on an amazing show for you the next time I come to your town. I promise I will be back, better than ever and ready to rock out. Until then,  Love, Ashlee"

The singer and her hubby attended the opening of the Palms Place in Las Vegas on Saturday, along with her entire family. Pete deejayed and Ashlee hung out with her country singer sister Jessica.

"After careful consideration, Ashlee Simpson has decided to postpone her summer tour," Ashlee's publicist said in a statement on Saturday. "She is committed to giving her fans the best show possible, and will be back better than ever and ready to rock in the future."

Speaking on Ash's impending motherhood, Jessica told People magazine she is certain that her sister will be a good mother. She also praised Ashlee's relationship with Pete saying she feels inspired by their love.

"They're just the cutest couple in the world," said Jessica, who was accompanied at the event by Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo. "They are adorable. Anybody would wish to be them and you can only wish them well. Just being around them inspires love and everything I sing about."
