Nicole Richie and her boyfriend Joel Madden are on their way to becoming parents yet again, only almost one year after Nicole gave birth to baby girl Harlow Winter Kate Madden on January 11, 2008.

On the band Good Charlotte’s website, frontman Madden, 29 years old, announced in a message he posted that he was extremely thrilled that Harlow was to become a big sister.

The posting via which Madden let everybody know that he was going to be a daddy again was entitled „Better than winning an OSCAR."

Tabloid darling Nicole Richie, 27, actress, author, singer, socialite, celebutante and television personality, is the adopted daughter of Lionel Richie, Academy Award and Grammy award-winning singer.

Back in 2003, Richie and best friend Paris Hilton starred in the first season of the reality series „The Simple Life,” which featured the two celebs living over a period of a month with a family in the rural community of Altus, Arkansas.

Four other seasons of the show followed, yet because during season five, entitled “The Simple Life Goes to Camp,” the ratings significantly plummeted, FOX network announced that a sixth season would not be produced.

Nicole Richie also dipped her toe in the writing pond, having written a semi-autobiographical novel „ The Truth about Diamonds” in 2005, the work revolving around the life of Chloe Parker, the adopted daughter of a singer, who parties her life away and struggles with a drug addiction.

One year later, Richie’s novel swiped the thirty-second position in Hardcover Fiction on The New York Times Best-Seller List.
