New York - Australian actress Nicole Kidman said she remains overcome by the birth of her daughter Sunday Rose three months ago.
"I'm raw and emotional," Kidman, 41, told the US magazine Parade in its issue coming out Sunday. "I cry even thinking of her, but they are tears of joy because I suppose I never thought I would get to have it. To have been given it so late in life - I'm so ready for it."
The mother of two adopted children - Isabella, 15, and Connor, 13, with her ex-husband and fellow actor Tom Cruise - said she did not believe she would get to have her own child. "If you are given that gift, it's an extraordinary thing," she was quoted as saying.
At the same time, however, "It's very bittersweet," she said, "because at 41 I think, 'I want to see her 21st birthday, and I want to see her get married.' My relationship with death used to be far more ambivalent, I think, and now it's very much about staying in the world."
Two years ago, she married the father of Sunday Rose, country music star and fellow Australian Keith Urban, 41.
