Apparently, one would not want to mess with Nicky Hilton, because Paris’ younger sister has befriended the law.
The 25-year-old celebutante was assaulted by a 50-year-old man outside a West Hollywood House of Pancakes early on Saturday morning. Although a drama queen role would have suited her flawlessly in this situation, Nicky Hilton preferred to stand up to her attacker.
Following the incident in which the homeless person pushed the socialite to the ground, she made a citizen’s arrest, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Steve Whitmore confirmed to Usmagazine.com. In addition, he told E! News that Nicky Hilton was at the front door of the pancake emporium at approximately 4:50 a.m. when the nasty incident took place. When she recovered from the fall, Nicky Hilton allegedly made a citizen’s arrest and was helped by a sheriff’s deputy who was coincidentally having a coffee in the IHOP.
“One of our deputies was at the IHOP, having a coffee break, and noticed a waitress run outside because there was a commotion,” Steve Whitmore informed Us. He added that a deputy was called immediately afterwards, as “there was a misdemeanor battery that involved Nicky Hilton and a man named Michael Broadhurst.”
The spokesman explained that Ms. Hilton was in good condition, but that she was “desirous of prosecution.”
Michael Broadhurst, who was said to be a homeless person, but police officials claim is just unemployed, was taken to the West Hollywood station, booked on a misdemeanor battery charge and released later that day. He is scheduled to appear in court on April 21.
According to the Boston Herald, Nicky Hilton had dined at the Santa Monica Boulevard breakfast joint with some friends just before the incident.
