Nick Bollea, the son of former wrestler Hulk Hogan, better known as Nick Hogan, was released from jail in Florida after a five month sentence. Nick, 18, was released from the Pinellas County Jail early Tuesday morning.

After serving 166 days of an eight-month sentence, Hulk Hogan's son was released around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday morning and taken immediately to his family's Clearwater, Fla., home.

His mother, Linda, released a statement this morning that reads: "Neither Nick, nor we as a family, has any interest in making this anything but private. We respect the media's role and only ask that they respect our privacy. Nick went into prison as a juvenile and has experienced something that will mold and affect him for the rest of his adult life... We respect the media’s role and only ask that they respect our privacy,” Linda Hogan said in statement released to Access.

He pleaded no contest in May to the charge of felony reckless driving, which occurred from a September 2007 car crash that critically injured his best friend, John Graziano who is believed will be in need of medical care throughout his entire life.
Bollea could have faced five years in prison, but the victim's family requested a lesser sentence. Moreover the Graziano family threatened to take legal action against the Hogans and also established a foundation to help their son.

The entire Hogan family is somewhat famous because they all starred in the reality show “Hogan Knows Best,” while sister Brooke has her own VH1 reality show “Brooke Knows Best.”
