Bravo announced two new seasons for its reality shows “Shear
Genius” and “Top Design,” with a few changes. The production company Magical
Elves that is behind two of Bravo’s other popular shows, “Project Runaway” and
“Top Chef,” will replace Stone & Company Entertainment that produced the
first season of “Top Design.”
The details for the changes about to be made in “Top Design”
have not been revealed to the public, so there is still no insight on whether
the show’s format will change or the designer Todd Oldham and the judges
Jonathan Adler, Margaret Russell, and Kelly Wearstler will be replaced.
"Like fashion designers and chefs, interior designers
inhabit a rich, visual world that attracts fascinating personalities, so we are
really excited to take on the challenge of bringing this successful show to the
next level," Executive Producer Dan Cutforth said according to The
Hollywood Reporter.
What we do know is that for the upcoming season of “Shear
Genius” Jaclyn Smith will be the host of the show for the second time, in a production
where hairstylists compete for a $100,000 prize. The only announcement made for
this show produced by Raveille was that the host will continue to be Jaclyn
Smith, without any further details on possible changes.
The second seasons of “Top Design” and “Shear Genius” will
debut next year, but the number of episodes for any of the two shows remains
uncertain. The producers announced however that the casting will begin within
the next couple of weeks.
