New MacBook Pro Introduced

Marking the difference between the MacBook and the MacBook Pro, Apple Incorporated has stretched the latter one’s screen to 17 inches and also increased its price to $2799, along with fitting it with a non-replaceable high-capacity battery.

Even though the new Pro’s unibody aluminum build is the same as the one that has a 15-inch screen, the former displays some upgraded features. It is only one inch thick and weighs 6.6 pounds, which according to Apple, makes it the thinnest and lightest 17" notebook on the market.

Moreover, the 1920x1200 screen has LED backlighting standard, with a 140x120 viewing angle, a 700:1 contrast ratio, while the color variety is 60 percent larger. Also, customers can benefit from an anti-glare coating option, which adds another $50 to the Pro’s price.

As for the battery, Apple stated that it was the longest lasting MacBook one ever, the non-removable lithium polymer battery maxing out at 8 hours and 1,000 recharges, which is three times the lifespan of conventional notebook batteries.
The MacBook Pro comes in a single configuration, featuring a 2.66 ghz Intel Core 2 Duo with 6MB shared L2 cache processor, a 1066 MHz front-side bus, 4gb ram, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M integrated graphics, NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT discrete graphics with 512MB GDDR3 video memory and 320GB Serial ATA hard drive running at 5400 rpm, with Sudden Motion Sensor; whereas the gadget is already available for pre-orders.
