New Fable Game Comes One Step Closer

Even though Lionhead’s Fable 2 game was initialy set for release sometime during autumn, Microsoft announced that the release will happen ”this holiday,” closing in on a more precise release period.

Earlier this year during the Game Developers Conference, Lionhead’s founder Peter Molyneux explained that the game will be released ”when the leaves turn brown,” bringing down some of the game’s enthusiasts.

The sequel comes after 2004’s extremely popular original Fable, which was launched on Xbox, PC and Macintosh. The game was sold in 3 million copies, which was more than enough to determine company officials to consider a sequel.

The first game gave users the role of a young boy with both parents murdered by bandits and his village destroyed. The game was open to many options as players had the freedom to choose whether the boy would do good or bad thus building his caracter.

Fable 2 will also offer a role-playing action, set 500 years after the original. The game will provide an epic story and an innovative real-time gameplay which is set to be ten times bigger than the original. Also, a dog will be present as a faithful companion and the moral choices will be much more difficult to make. Gamers will be able to choose between a male or a female character.

As summer approaches further information is expected to surface and fans everywhere are looking forward to the experience.
