New Details On Apple's Upcoming iPod Release

The founder of the popular Web site Digg, Mr. Kevin Rose, offered his visitors a peak at the new iPod, providing a photo of what he claims to be Apple’s new design for its product and also several of its new features.

According to his blog post, the new widescreen will be viewable in landscape format and not in portrait. Also, there is other information available on the Web page. The predictions include a comment on the new iTunes 8.0, which “surprisingly” will contain new features compared to its predecessor, a 2.1 software update will be released for the iPod Touch.

Another rumor which will make many users happy if it turns out to be true refers to the price cuts for all the products in the iPod family.

Kevin Rose did not disclose the source of his information and he claims that everything he presented will be confirmed over the next three weeks by Apple’s official release and presentation.

Apple’s policy when preparing a new release is well known, as the company refuses to offer any sort of details until the official launch. The strategy proved to be successful until now, forcing the newspapers and bloggers to make predictions and start debates on the features of the upcoming products, increasing the anticipation and curiosity of the general public, working much better than most of the advertising campaigns.

As expected, the company did not comment on the rumors and over the next few weeks we will see if Kevin Rose’s predictions were accurate.
