Ricky Martin was at one point one of the most successful singers in the pop-charts. His looks and –most of all – sensual moves made thousands of ladies swoon, and many even fainted at his fiery concerts.

For some time now, the Latin pop-star has been out of the public eye, to the disappointment of thousands of his biggest fans. Although very private about his life in the past, as opposed to many celebrities of his age and fame, Ricky Martin has recently opened up to “People” magazine.

The magazine seems to have become a confessional for many, as not so long ago Clay Aiken came out of the closet on the cover of “People”.

Ricky Martin’s secret is different than Clay’s however, especially since the Latin singer has two secrets – Valentino and Matteo, his four-month-old twin sons. You are probably wondering – as any female fan would! – who is the lucky gal who snatched Ricky Martin off the market for good and is now the mother of his children. Surprisingly, Ricky Martin is not married, nor is he in a relationship.

Valentino and Matteo were born via a surrogate mother. Ricky Martin confessed that he explored other options, one of which was adoption. Although usually a much more popular route, Ricky Martin realized that a surrogate birth is much faster than the strenuous adoption process. He is currently raising his two children alone, although granted with the help of a personal assistant. However, Ricky Martin says he was the one “who changes the diapers, the one that feeds them, the one that bathes them, the one that puts them to sleep.”
