New 17 Inch MacBook Pro

People were anticipating a new 17 inch macBook Pro to be revealed at this year’s Macworld and it seems like they were right. Phil Schiller presented the new Mac laptop, designed for high end users, with a price tag of $2,799. The new laptop has the new aluminum case, a glass trackpad and some other new features that will make Apple users very happy.

There were sme complaints regarding the very strident colors present on the new MacBooks, so Apple has made a new option available for the 17 inch MacBook Pro: choosing between a glossy display and a matte one.

The new machine has a 1920x1200 pixel resolution, a 700:1 contrast ratio and 60% more color gamut. The new machine also deals with other complaints regarding the new line of MacBooks, it can now run the two Nvidia graphics chips in tandem, when things get rough.

Other great news regarding the new macBook Pro is that it has a battery that can last up to 8 hours, and though this is not yet tested, Apple is known for battery performance. The battery is very similar to that of a MacBook Air, in the way that it cannot be accessed by the user. Apple guarantees for over 1000 battery recharges, which is over the standards.

With the new MacBook Pro users get 4GB of RAM, a 2.66GHz Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, a 320GB hard drive, which is pretty good. Macs are known for their great value for money and certainly this new 17 inch machine will satisfy everyone.
