British supermodel Naomi Campbell revealed
her secret wish to have a child in an interview at a recent fashion event,
according to Britain’s
Press Association. She admits that she “would love to have kids” and that now
is the right time. As she is close to her 40s she knows she needs to “hurry up”
the process.
“Until March, I wasn’t able to have kids.
Now I can. They thought it was a cyst. When they opened it up they realized it
was more,” the supermodel said.
Earlier this year, the supermodel was
admitted to a renowned Brazilian hospital, Sirio Libanes
Hospital, where she
underwent an emergency surgery to remove a small cyst from her abdomen. The
37-year old catwalk star was treated by gynechologist Dr. Jose Aristodemo
Pinotti and infectious disease specialist Dr. David Uip.
She recovered very well from her surgery
and her gynechologist declined to reveal details about the nature of her
condition, but he said the model was “completely cured.”
Campbell spent a week at the Sirio
Libanes Hospital.
In a statement issued after the surgery, her publicist Jeff Raymond told the
media that the supermodel was resting after the procedure and thanked the
medical staff for taking care of her. “Following the successful procedure, she
is now resting and is looking forward to getting back to work,” he said.
“They thought it was a cyst. When they
opened it up they realized it was more,” Campbell
told reporters, according to Britain’s
Press Association. The supermodel revealed that she was previously infertile
until the surgery she underwent this March. Campbell is now in perfect health and is anxious
to have a family, as she thinks that “giving birth is bringing a new energy
into the world.”
