The New York Police Department officers are on the lookout for a man who attacks elderly women. The thug reportedly attacks his victims from behind and, after chocking them until they fall to the ground, he steals their belongings.

Over the past month and a half, the robber made 12 victims of which one man and 11 elderly women. The area on which the police are focusing their attention to find the attacker is around Flatbush Avenue, near Prospect Park in Brooklyn. NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly said rookie officers previously involved in another mission were deployed at the Flatbush Avenue corridor.

NYPD said they are looking for a 27-year-old man recently released from prison.

His most recent act of robbery took place last Thursday. An elevator camera recorded the horrific scene, in which the robber chokes 85-year-old Lillian France until she falls unconscious to the ground. The thug stole her purse with $900 she just had withdrawn from the bank and the woman’s walking stick. From another victim, he stole a bible.

The attacker/robber has terrorized several seniors as he has been stalking apartments in Crown Heights, Flatbush and Kensington throughout the summer.

"We are lucky he hasn't killed somebody," a source from NYPD said according to New York Daily News.

"I would like to believe that people have more respect for the elderly."

The heartless thug also choked a 72-year-old woman in Kensington and stole her Social Security check. He also robbed a bible from a 54-year-old woman as she was heading into her Flatbush lobby. The robber also took a Medicaid card from one of his victims.
