NFL wide receiver Dennis Northcutt is being accused of
planning a brutal attack on his pregnant ex-girlfriend.
Sharri Henry has filed a lawsuit, claiming Northcutt
conspired to brutally beat her up.
Henry, who claims she is pregnant with the NFL player,
alleges that Northcutt got his cousin to
“maliciously assault, beat, strike and batter Plaintiff, her face and head with
great force and violence ... causing severe and permanent disfigurement to her
face.” The attack took place last May, when Henry was four months pregnant,
outside Falcon Club in Hollywood.
Henry’s lawyer says that the reason behind Northcutt’s behavior was Henry’s
refusal to abort the pregnancy.
In the lawsuit filed today in
L.A. County Superior Court, Henry alleges battery and conspiracy to commit
assault and is seeking unspecified damages.
However, Northcutt denies the
claims.
His agent, Jerome Stanley,
claims that “this was nothing but a desperate shakedown by a jilted
ex-girlfriend who is claiming to be pregnant with his child.” He suggested that
Henry is probably upset because Northcutt broke up with her and found someone
else. Stanley
also said that his client had no idea about the attack until after it happened
and added that Henry “verbally antagonized the guy who hit her.”
Henry’s attorney, whose client is currently seven months
pregnant, said that Northcutt and his entourage were angry that Henry refused
to abort a child that she believed was Northcutt's. After words were exchanged,
Northcutt’s cousin “viciously attacked Miss Henry.”
