Motorola's New Motozine ZN5 - Available Starting Today!

Motorola, one of the world’s leaders in wireless communications, will offer, starting today, its new mobile phone Motozine ZN5. The device will be available all across North America through an exclusive deal with T-Mobile.

The ZN5 was developed through a collaboration with Kodak, which manufactured a high-quality 5 mega pixels camera for the device. It combines Motorola's ModeShift technology and KODAK Imaging Technology, delivering a great experience through connectivity, quality and convenience. Its easy to use one-touch share key allows users to immediately send photos to T-Mobile’s MyAlbum, to the Kodak Gallery and even compatible Bluetooth enabled printers.

"The arrival of the Motozine ZN5 at T-Mobile provides a new opportunity for T-Mobile customers to instantly capture and share each special moment in their lives," said Dennis Burke, vice president, Sales, Motorola Mobile Devices. He also added: "The Motozine ZN5 simplifies mobile imaging while empowering users with the tools they traditionally rely on in a digital camera."

T-Mobile is just as excited as its partener about the release. "The Motozine ZN5 is a terrific phone for T-Mobile customers who value instant connections with loved ones," said Travis Warren, Director of Device Marketing for the popular carrier. "Who wants to lug around several tech devices during the holidays when one - the ZN5 - will suffice, making it easier than ever to snap and share photos with family and friends."

Kodak managed to put together a great set of features for Motorola’s device, combining its Imaging Technology with its Perfect Touch Technology, in order to make the photos brighter and more vivid. It has auto focus to get those sharp pictures, a Xenon flash, 1 Giga Byte of memory with an optional external memory support of another 4 GB, red eye reduction and optimized settings for low-light environments. It also allows multiple capture modes such as multi-shot and panorama. Panorama is a very appreciated feature that enables users to stitch together several continuous shots in order to make a larger image. With all its features, the ZN5 actually makes a standard camera useless.

The good news is that the buzz about the device is not all about its camera. It features Motorola’s CrystalTalk technology that ensures a fair reception in the worst environments, Stereo Bluetooth, a 3.5 mm headset jack, TV out capacity, 802.11 b/g WiFi and a full HTML browser. It provides dual compatibility for GSM and Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) and also supports SMS, MMS, IM and personal e-mail. The design features are also extremely attractive, adding a lot of appeal to the device.

The ZN5 is priced at $99 on a two-year contract with T-Mobile.

John Renaldi, new product marketing manager at Motorola's Libertyville office, explained that recent research pointed out that consumers are now looking for a phone that can take high-quality pictures, share them instantly, and still be slim enough to fit in a pocket or a purse. Motorola is looking for the device that will put its name back on the top market sellers. The last four years have been rather tough on the company, which failed to release another hit since its RAZR phone.
