Through a partnership with Verizon Wireless, Motorola rolled
out its new touch-screen phone, called the Krave ZN4. Its 2.8-inch touch screen
and interactive clear flip screen are very likely to appeal to a wide crowd and
the two companies’ officials are extremely delighted with their new release.
"The clear, touch-enabled flip over the large,
high-resolution touch-screen is nothing like you've seen and yet it's totally
intuitive," said Ken Hallman, VP of Motorola's mobile devices, in a recent
statement.
The phone provides access to Web-based and POP3 e-mail, 3G
connectivity, and an HTML browser and also features Bluetooth, usable with mono
or stereo headsets. It has a MicroSD slot in order to expand the memory up to 8
Giga Bytes, which can be used to store music, videos and other files. Other
features include a headphone jack, on-board VZ Navigation for directions, a
QWERTY keyboard with push feedback, visual voice-mail support and an
accelerometer.
The phone supports all the services provided by Verizon,
whether it is music, video or TV.
Its 2 megapixel camera ensures fair video recording and the
photos takes with it can be directly uploaded to Web sites.
V Cast services will cost about $15 a month, Visual Voice
Mail $2.99 per month and VZ Navigator will be available for a monthly fee of
$9.99.
The new touch-screen phone is available for $149.99 through
a two-year contract with Verizon Wireless and a $50 mail-in-rebate, and even
though it faces a stiff market competition, it will surely find its crowd.
