The tragedy of star singer/actress Jennifer Hudson continued on Monday as the Oscar winner suffered more heartbreak as she identified the body of her 7-year-old nephew at the Chicago city morgue. Police investigators found the boy’s cadaver in an SUV.

"Yes, that is him," said Hudson after seeing the corpse of little Julian King laying on a gurney covered with a white sheet. The actress saw the face of her nephew on a video screen.

Despite the fact that her brother, mother and nephew were butchered, she seems very strong about it and did not collapsed under the heartache. Cook County medical examiner's office spokesman, Sean Howard, described the actress as “just brilliant and strong," The New York Daily News reported.

"Her last words to me were, 'Just tell the general public once again to respect my family's privacy,'” Howard added. According to his sayings, Hudson told him that she puts her faith in Jesus to help her get through this.

The investigation into the horrific slayings continues, but police investigators haven’t charged anyone for the crimes yet. Police have in custody William (Flex) Balfour, 27, the estranged husband of Julia, the actress’ sister. The Chicago police asked the Federal Bureau of Investigation to help them find Hudson’s nephew.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, little Julian was shot in the head. When police found him he was dressed in basketball shorts and a stained white T-shirt. He had been missing since Friday, when police found the corpses of Hudson's mom, Darnell Donerson, 57, and brother Jason Hudson, 29, in their South Side home.

When she was told that her brother and mother had been murdered, Jennifer Hudson immediately flew to the Windy City and offered a $100,000 reward for information leading to her nephew’s safe return.
