After there were some rumors circulating about the possibility that Wal-Mart will be selling $99 iPhones, other rumors are emerging concerning iPod Nano. The rumors are bit more consistent this time as there are actually features showing the case of the “new” iPod Nano and its resemblance to the ever so popular iPhone.
There have been no declarations from Apple so tis might just be words in the wind. It is not known yet if the rumor is about an iPod nano or an iPhone Nano, the facts are that maybe the Wal-Mart speculations and this might be linked.
With Macworld approaching fast, it is only logical that these rumors to continue to surface and to be spread on the internet. There have been other photos presented on various sites showing the iPod Nano and it’s resemblance to the iPhone. The mysterious new Apple device is supposedly shorter, but wider, than an iPhone, has the same sensors and camera, but lacks 3G connectivity.
The rumor states that the new “iPhone-like device” will target people who couldn’t afford to buy a real iPhone. This seems a little bit unlikely, as Apple is not known for making these kind of compromises.
They didn’t venture in the market of netbooks, preffering to stick with their high performance and expensive MacBooks and it is very improbable for Apple to have conceived a substitute for their most trendy device. It just doesn’t sound like good market strategy, to offer people a cheaper version of a product that it’s on the peak of popularity.
