“The Hills” star Heidi Montag opened up about her spirituality in
an interview with USA Today. She
talked about her hopes to release a Christian album one day and her
relationship with Spencer Pratt, her boyfriend and manager.
In the interview,
Montag said that she and Pratt read the Bible frequently, and characterized
herself as “kind of non-denominational Baptist.” Also, there are mentions of
Montag’s clothing line, Heidiwood,
and of plans for a humanitarian voyage to Africa
in August to “feed children and build things.”
“I have been the most religious person since I was 2 years
old,” Heidi, said in response to why she would do a something like releasing a
Christian album. “I always felt this crazy connection to God,” she enforced. The article does not mention when said album will
materialize. In the interview, she was also inquired about the sex tape
that Lauren Conrad had allegedly shot with ex-beau Jason Wahler. “I don’t even
want to talk about that,” Montag said. “There were rumors about a sex tape, but
I had nothing to do with that. God knows the truth in all of this, and at the
end of the day, that is the only thing that matters. Jesus was persecuted, and
I’m going to get persecuted, ya know? But it doesn’t matter to me.”
Although she and Pratt have had their share of difficulties
— scandals and intrigue — Montag said that her boyfriend is “the most amazing
person to ever exist. Everything you could ever want in a best friend, soul
mate and boyfriend.”
