Reigning Miss Louisiana Teen USA lost her title after getting caught and arrested for trying to leave a Bossier City restaurant without paying the dinner, TMZ.com reported.

Lindsey Evans lost her crown of Miss Louisiana Teen USA 2008 after she was arrested over the weekend. Evans and the friends she was with that evening allegedly tried to skip paying a $46.07 bill. All would have gone smoothly, but Evans forgot to take her purse so the waiter found out immediately who tried to dine and dash.

And it’s not over, Evans went back at the restaurant to retrieve her purse but police officers were already there because the purse contained marijuana. Evans was arrested for possession.

Although she had just 10 days left of her reign, she remained without her crown as pageant officials did not have the patience.

"Lindsey Evans has been part of an organization that believes in opportunities when earned and consequences when warranted," Paula Miles, president of pageant sponsor RPM.

"Due to recent circumstances, Lindsey has been relieved of her duties as Miss Louisiana Teen USA 2008 effective immediately," she added in a statement released Tuesday night.

The 18-year-old Evans of Blanchard and the three friends who had been with her that evening were booked Saturday night on charges of theft. They were released from jail Sunday after posting bond.

Evans reportedly admitted that she intentionally left without paying.
