Since the talks about her new album are over, Miley Cyrus is
trying a different approach on how to stay in the news. Having too much free
time on her hands and lots of money and being carefree, Miley Cyrus looked into
her neighbor’s backyard, the neighbors being Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez, and
thought of doing the same thing only with a slight nuance of irony. Ok, it was
a clear parody of Disney stars’ video.
Miley Cyrus and her friend Mandy Jirox made a video in which
they made fun of Lovato and Gomez’s video. Cyrus and Jirox recreated the video,
making fun, among others, of a gap that Lovato had in her teeth. The video has been put on
youtube about a month ago.
After making the video and releasing it on youtube.com,
Miley tried to apologize, saying that she was having fun.
“I mean if we offended (Selena and Demi), we’re super sorry,
but we were, like, just having fun,” Miley said in an interview with Popstar! magazine.
So basically, when you mock someone and make fun of them is
ok, as long as you’re having fun. The actress continued with the apologies,
saying that being funny was their thing.
“That’s our thing, to be funny. They were being funny on
their show, and (besides) Elvis says imitation is the greatest form of
flattery, so we were, like, imitating them. You know, like, being funny,” said
Cyrus.
Well Miley…as long as you’re funny…it’s ooook. Everything
goes.
Demi Lovato who starred in Camp Rock
and Selena Gomez made no comment regarding the video or Miley’s “apologies.”
