In a world where pre-teens bring millions to the movie business, “Hannah Montana” is queen. The 15-year old actress starring in the hit Disney series says she is looking forward to playing a different kind of part.
Something more like “A Walk to Remember,” starring Mandy Moore or “The Notebook,” starring Rachel McAdams.
And what do these two movies have in common? Well, best-selling author, Nicholas Sparks. And what happens when a movie star, no matter the age, wants something? It gets done! The writer himself talked about how he met with Cyrus and how he got the idea of making a movie just for her. He is actually writing the novel and the script for the movie in the same time, and they are both written with the “Hannah Montana” star in mind.
"This is similar to the way it's gone with movies based on my novels; it's just out of order," Sparks said. "Certain opportunities garner your interest, and this was one of those."
Sparks said Cyrus and her family were "very familiar with the work I've done in the past. That played a role in this project coming together."
Cyrus, like any other baby sweetheart is turning into a young lady, but hopefully she will not lose her way, as many others like do or already did. She is currently playing the role of a girl who lives a double life as an average teenage school girl named Miley Stewart by day and a famous pop singer named Hannah Montana by night.
