No one escapes Tim Gunn’s fashion radar, not even 15-year-olds. The fashion consultant said he thinks Disney star Miley Cyrus is “just a little too tarty.”

“(Miley Cyrus) is just a little too tarty, forgive me,” he told OK! Magazine.

He explained he did not want her to look like she attended a convent school, but still, her style is a little too much for a girl her age.

“If I didn’t know better, I’d swear she was 25,” Gunn added.

Gunn has recently expressed his opinion on what he calls Katie Holmes’ style “dip.” He said he usually appreciated her sophisticated style a lot, but he “can’t explain” her new look that involves baggy, 80s-style jeans.

“I have to say, Katie Holmes has become so much more sophisticated in so many ways, but I think she's in a dip right now. I can't explain it,” the Project Runway star told People magazine.

However, Gunn said he respects the way Tom Cruise’s wife went from “looking like a little farm girl to looking like European royalty.”

He also mentioned to Us Weekly that he certainly preferred Michelle Obama’s style over the one of Cindy McCain, saying that the Democratic presidential candidate’s wife “epitomizes class and American style,” looking approachable. As for Cindy, “with her button-down suits and blouses — looks like she's duct-taped,” he said.
