Miley Covers Up As 'Hannah Montana' Ratings Drop

Disney Channel's "Hannah Montana" star Miley Cyrus insists that she is nothing like the girl portrayed in the controversial Vanity Fair magazine pictures, and she makes more "modest" fashion choices in real life.

"All the clothes -- all the short skirts and all that stuff -- my mom would never in a million years let me leave the house like that. So I think that a really cool thing that everyone's doing now is layering, just to keep yourself modest and cute," the 15-year-old said.

"My aunt got me a shirt that says, 'Modest is Hottest,' which is totally true," she added.

Although Disney's "Hannah Montana" franchise was reportedly one of the most prolific in the industry, following Miley Cyrus' recent photo shoot with Annie Leibovitz in which she is pictured with her bare back, covered only by a piece of fabric, looking sensually at the camera, audiences for the latest episode of the show dropped 14% from the previous fresh episode, which aired just under two months earlier, New York Daily News reported.

Compared to the first original show of the year, which aired in January, viewership for Sunday's show was down 26%.
An estimated 3.1 million viewers tuned in for "Hannah's" 7p.m. Sunday edition, which aired out of the network's usual pattern for fresh episodes.

"Hannah Montana" has now been replaced as Disney’s top-rated show by "Wizards of Waverly Place," which stars Selena Gomez, who made several appearances in "Hannah Montana."

Meanwhile, Miley Cyrus' touring buddies, the Jonas Brothers, who appeared in this year's "Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour"  are planning to release their own 3-D concert movie, with the help of Bruce Hendricks, who helmed the "Hannah Montana" film.

The brothers' "Burning Up" tour kicks off July 4 in Toronto, with special guest Demi Lovato. Similarly to Miley Cyrus' movie, the film will be shot in 3-D and will include footage from their live shows as well as behind-the-scenes documentary material.
