Good news from Microsoft. The company announced it will soon release the Xbox 360 60GB Xbox Live Starter Pack. The new hit from Microsoft is scheduled to hit the shelves early November and will most likely sell for $100.
The Redmond, Washington-based company had been selling the 60GB HDD with $300 Xbox 360 Pro models, but the 60GB hard drive had not been available for the owners of the previous models which packed 20GB hard drives. That segment of Xbox 360 users, who will surely be delighted by Microsoft’s new Starter Pack offer, had only the alternative of purchasing the $140 120 GB hard drive, also bundled with the $400 Xbox 360 Elite model in order to boost their storage capacity.
The Xbox 360 60GB Live Starter Pack has everything you need to be a cool gamer. Besides the 60B hard drive which I already mentioned, the Starter Pack also includes an Xbox Live headset, a three-month Xbox Live Gold subscription, and an Ethernet cable.
The company did not formally announce the release of the new product, but the Starter Pack has begun showing up on retailer listings. What the new pack brings new is that it allows gamers to purchase the thinner Xbox 360 Arcade unit now and upgrade it to the features of the Xbox 360 Pro without being penalized.
"This is the perfect upgrade path for those looking to enjoy all that the New Xbox Experience has to offer including streaming movies and TV episodes offered by Netflix, Avatar creation, Xbox Live Parties and much more," wrote Microsoft.
