Microsoft Announces Free Xbox LIVE Week Starting Feb. 17

Microsoft is opening the doors of its Xbox LIVE Week on February 17, when together with Rockstar it debuts the first episode of downloadable content for Grand Theft Auto IV, available exclusively on Xbox. Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned officially launches on February 17 at 12:01 A.M. ET, and the promotion lasts until February 22, at 11:59 P.M. ET. 

Fans will also get to enter the sweepstakes offered by Microsoft the same week, with prizes that consist of a Samsung 52-inch 1080p Flat-Panel LCD HDTV and Samsung 1200W 5.1-Ch. XM-Ready Home Theater System with Upconvert DVD Player and HDMI A/V Cable package, six custom Grand Theft Auto Xbox 360 Elite consoles, six $500 Best Buy gift cards, six Xbox 360 120GB Hard Drive and Xbox 360 Wireless Headset packages, six 8GB Zune with Three-Month Zune Pass, and more.
 
In order to take part in the sweepstakes, users need to download The Lost and Damned Registration Gamer Picture. During the LIVE week, registered players will either will be able to earn sweepstakes by either downloading the Grand Theft Auto: The Lost & Damned game add-on content or by logging into Xbox LIVE and playing a Grand Theft Auto IV multiplayer session, Microsoft revealed.
 
Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned offers new missions and a story line that allows players to enjoy it even if they haven’t finished the story of Niko, Rockstar informed. The game add-on episode can be purchased for 1600 Microsoft Points or for $14.99.
