Michael Lohan, father to Hollywood starlet Lindsay Lohan, continues to be serene as he talks to the media about a possible fifth child he may have and confesses he is now awaiting the results of a DNA test to know whether or not he has a 13-year-old daughter.

Never one to shy away from the tabloids, on the contrary actually by the looks of it, Michael Lohan told Star Magazine lat week that he may have fathered a child some 13 years ago with a woman named Kristi Kaufmann, during his marriage to Dina Lohan.

Ashley, who could be his daughter, is now 13 years old. Lohan says he has seen photos of her and there are some resemblances with his famous actress daughter, Lindsay Lohan.

Lohan also told the New York Daily News that he has taken a DNA test to ascertain his paternity and that once he learns the results, he will share with the media.

Lohan already has four children with former wife Dina Lohan, to whom he was married for more than two decades: 21-year-old Lindsay, Michael, 20, Ali, 14, and Cody, 12. The two divorced last year.

Lohan said he met the supposed mother of his illegitimate child in 1982, in Houston, Texas, and that she was going through a divorce at the time. He has expressed distrust in Kaufmann’s claim that they have a child together.

Lohan has not said however how his other four children feel about having a half-sister.

“I have some serious doubts after investigating Kristi’s background,” the 48-year-old commented, insinuating that the woman may be lying, with some kind of ulterior motive.

Lohan has been quite candid about his own past, admitting that he’s walked a crooked path, drinking and doing drugs, and eventually paying for his mistakes by serving two years in prison for DUI and other charges.

When Lindsay was herself arrested last year, Lohan was more than eager to tell the media that he was to blame because he had set such a bad example.
