Coincidence or not, Madonna and Alex Rodriguez visited Mexico City on Sunday. While the 33-year-old Yankees star spent a couple of hours teaching kids to bat at a new sports center established by Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim on a landfill in a deprived suburb, the 50-year-old pop star was preparing to perform at a sold-out gig of her “Sticky & Sweet” tour.

Although it is not certain whether Madonna and A-Rod met in Mexico City, the encounters between the two have become very frequent during the past couple of weeks, as Alex Rodriguez attended one of Madge’s concerts last week and reportedly spent Thanksgiving with her after visiting his family.

When asked how it felt like to be in the same city as Madonna and at the same time, A-Rod told reporters that it was “very good,” thus avoiding giving details with regard to the subject.

As soon as the still-in-denial couple started giving involuntary public hints, tabloids started talking and rumors began circulating. Some say they will make their relationship public in a couple of months. Others say they are looking for a home to share. But is there anything for us to believe?
Both celebrities have denied the allegations, which started a few months ago. Alex Rodriguez and his wife, Cynthia, divorced in September and less than a month later, Madonna and British film director Guy Ritchie announced their separation after eight years of marriage.

They were granted a “quickie” divorce a couple of weeks ago during a hearing that was attended by neither party.
