Matt Damon and his wife of more than two years, Luciana, are expecting their third child. The happy couple already have two daughters, ages 1 and 9.

People magazine reports that Matt Damon’s rep has confirmed the happy news. That magical stork is bringing a new baby to the family.

“They couldn’t be happier,” representative Jennifer Allen told the magazine. “They’re so excited!”

The “Bourne Ultimatum” star and wife Luciana first told the news non-verbally, when they attended the Empire Film Awards in London. Luciana proudly showed off a rotund belly.

The couple already has two children. Daughter Isabella was born June 2006, while Luciana has daughter Alexia, 9, from a previous marriage.

Matt, 37, and Luciana, 32, married December 2006 in New York City.

Like many other celebrities, Matt has confessed that fatherhood changed his perspective of the world; his whole life for that matter.

The actor is currently shooting the CIA thriller “Green Zone” in Morocco, under the direction of Paul Greengrass, nominated for an Academy Award in 2007 for “United 93.”

“Green Zone” is based on the 2006 book “Imperial Life in the Emerald City” by journalist Rajiv Chandrasekaran. Damon’s co-stars are Amy Ryan and Greg Kinnear.

Damon and Greengrass have collaborated before, on “The Bourne Supremacy” and “The Bourne Ultimatum.” Filming for the Universal Pictures project began in January in Spain and then moved to Morocco.

Damon had an uncredited cameo in Francis Ford Coppola’s adaptation of the Mircea Eliade novel “Youth Without Youth,” released in December. He next appears in “Margaret,” a drama directed by Kenneth Lonergan and co-starring Anna Paquin, Matthew Broderick and Mark Ruffalo.

“The Bourne Ultimatum” won Best Film at Saturday’s Empire Film Awards. The annual Empire Awards are voted for by readers of British film magazine Empire.
