Matt Damon is so beautiful, respectable and famous that it
seems that there are not many things to say about him anymore. But the “Jason
Bourne” star has thought of thrilling his fans with his presence at the Sydney’s premiere of “The
Bourne Ultimatum”. The “Forbes” magazine as well has thought of thrilling his
fans and the actor by making public the results of a profitability survey of
the Hollywood actors, in which Damon is the
No.1.
So after crunching the amount of money the stars are paid
against their movies’ box offices returns, the “Forbes” magazine has discovered
that Matt Damon, 36 years old, gives the best box-office return on his salary,
which is more than twice that of Tom Cruise and Tom Hanks, while Russell Crowe
has rated at the bottom of the magazine’s list.
Besides Mat Damon, Brad Pitt, Vince Vaughn and Johnny Depp
have been named Hollywood’s
most profitable stars.
With this occasion the famous actor has proved to be also
funny as he has said he knows why he is at the top of the list: “Because I’m
underpaid… […] I think they’re using some funny math.” – has said Damon at the
last night’s Australian premiere of his third installment of the “Bourne”
franchise. He has also added about Russell Crowe’s performance: "These
things are so crazy, because if you had taken the same people and applied the
same formula a couple of years ago, he [Crowe] would have come out on top. If
you are on the shortlist, you have made it anyway."
Every dollar that Damon got paid for his last three roles
has returned $34 in gross income. So Matt Damon is really a “profitable” actor,
but it has seemed that his fans’ admiration represents more than money for
himself.
