Young Hollywood actress Mary-Kate Olsen was rushed to the emergency room in New York on Monday with a kidney infection.
"Mary Kate got a kidney infection," her rep Nicole Caruso told People. "She's resting comfortably and will be released in the next day or so."
The 21-year-old actress, who is recovering from an eating disorder (anorexia nervosa), said in a recent interview that she is actually feeling pretty healthy.
"Mentally, physically, I feel pretty on top of my game right now," Mary-Kate told EW.com in September. "Talk to me next week, I don't know. Today, I feel good."
The former child star, well known for starring alongside her twin sister Ashley in "Two of a Kind" and "Full House," made her television comeback with a co-starring role on Showtime's dark comedy "Weeds." She is also scheduled to appear in 2008’s comedy "The Wackness" opposite senior actor Ben Kingsley with whom her character shares a passionate kiss.
The two siblings who turned 21 in June, celebrated birthday in a very low-key manner with a small group of friends and family members at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood.
