Actor Mark
Ruffalo, whose works include “Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind” and “Blindness,”
has paid tribute to his brother Scott, who died after he accidentally shot himself
in the head one week ago in Los Angeles.
According
to the Associated Press, a woman who had been held in custody by the police in
connection with Scott Ruffalo’s death was released, her lawyer having stated
that the man’s wound had been self-inflicted.
Ronald Richards,
the aforementioned lawyer, revealed that his client Shaha Mishaal Adham, who
was friends with Scott Ruffalo, had gone to his house, where she had found the
hairdresser shot to death, but she had unfortunately chosen to leave the scene
afterwards. Consequently, she was detained by the authorities, even though she
had had nothing to do with the shooting.
Brian B Schofield, who has also been held in custody, was
released after questioning on Monday.
Scott Ruffalo’s death was the result of him having
played with a fire weapon, while the accidental shooting was witnessed by Adham,
who fled the scene after the incident.
The hairdresser died Monday night, after his life support
machine was switched off.
Recently, his family revealed they would be creating a fund
in his honor, adding that the funeral service was to be private, but thanking
everyone for their support and prayers for Scott.
Mark Ruffalo, 41, was cast in the movie „Blindness” for the
part of the doctor, the production having been screened at the Cannes Film
Festival earlier this year.
