It’s not a good period for Madonna. The media watches her
every move. When it’s not her brother saying he wants to write a book about her
it’s the rumors regarding her divorce. When it’s not that, it’s the news about
her childhood home which burnt Friday night.
According to BBC, Madonna’s former home from Detroit sustained major
fire and smoke damage. Police suspect that the fire was caused by someone. Fire
Chief Ron Crowell said that the blaze started in the living room and continued
to spread. The Rochester Hills house was severely damaged by the fire.
A neighbor said that a woman who was driving in the area
noticed some smoke coming from the two-story brick home and called 911. The
firefighters arrived soon and managed to put the fire down quickly.
“We brought it under control in about 10 minutes. There was
significant loss,” said Rochester Hills Fire Chief Ron Crowell, according to the
Detroit Free Press.
The owners of the home were absent. No one was injured.
Madonna Louise Ciccone, 49, was raised in Pontiac and Rochester Hills. Before she moved
to New York, she
used to live there with 5 siblings.
Madonna gets ready for her Sticky and Sweet tour, which is
set to start in Cardiff on 23 August and end in Miami on 26 November.
