Uncertainty circles Madonna’s marriage as the artist was said to have contacted the celebrity divorce lawyer Fiona Shackleton, but her mother-in-law denied that the couple was heading towards a separation.

Now, WELT ONLINE reported that a source said Guy Ritchie was not going to give up on his marriage and was willing to try to avoid separation. The source also said that Ritchie refused to lose “full contact with Rocco.” He spent the weekend with Sting and his wife Trudie Styler. She was the one who first introduced Guy to Madonna.

With all these rumors going on, Madonna’s spokesperson didn’t comment on the issue, making the situation worse. For the past months the couple has been the target of speculation and every appearance of Madonna without her husband made the rumors more numerous.

With Ritchie’s mother firmly denying that the couple is getting divorced and without any official word from the couple, this separation seems fiction. On the other hand, the couple has been seen without the wedding rings and they are in different locations: Ritchie is in England and Madonna in New York.

Ritchie and Madonna have together three children: Lourdes, 11(by Madonna’s former personal trainer Carlos Leon), Rocco, 7, and David, 3, adopted from Malawi.
