Following numerous reports claiming a romantic relationship
between Madonna and Alex Rodriguez, the pop icon fuelled rumors by inviting the
athlete at one of her Sticky & Sweet gigs.
A-Rod was spotted in a front row at the Dolphin Stadium in Miami on Wednesday, as
the 50-year-old singer kept on throwing him glances during her onstage
performance.
The Yankees star sat between Rod Stewart and Madonna’s
manager, Guy Oseary, while the artist smiled at him and sang, “You Must Love
Me.”
He smiled back and the Material Girl seemed to be very
pleased with his presence at the concert, which was part of her worldwide tour in
support of her eleventh studio album, “Hard Candy.”
Just before her interpretation of “I’m So Far Away,” Madonna
talked about long-distance relationships and thus aroused even more suspicion
with regard to her supposed love affair with A-Rod.
The two made eye contact throughout the night, which
included a two-hour delay by Madonna for which she did not even apologize.
After applauding the pop star intensely, 33-year-old Alex Rodriguez stood up in
order to show Madonna his appreciation.
Unnamed sources close to him informed the New York Daily
News that A-Rod would spend Thanksgiving together with his future ex-wife, Cynthia,
their daughters (4-year-old Natasha and 1-year-old Ella) and Cynthia’s family,
contrary to reports saying that the athlete chose Madge over his kids.
However, this might as well be love.
