Lynne Spears accuses the dubious Sam Lutfi, self-declared
manager and friend of Britney Spears, of taking control over her daughter’s
life, feeding her drugs, being verbally abusing and isolating her from the
outside world.
A request for a temporary restraining order against Sam
Lutfi, which was granted Tuesday, contains shocking allegations from Lynne
Spears, describing a meeting she had with the 33-year-old man at her daughter’s
house in late January.
In a nutshell, Lynne Spears claims that Lutfi controlled Britney’s
movements, her comings and goings, her use of a phone, that he drugged her and
was verbally abusive and appeared to be “leader of the pack,” controlling
paparazzi that seemed to hang around the singer’s house freely.
The 6-page declaration, posted on People
magazine’s website, states that Britney met Lutfi in October 2007 and that
since then, “Mr. Lutfi has essentially moved into Britney's home and has
purported to take control of her life, home and finances.”
“Mr. Lutfi drugged Britney, he has cut Britney's home phone
lines and removed her cell phone chargers. He yells at her. He claims to
control everything—Britney's business manager, her attorneys and the security
guards at the gate,” Lynne declares.
She describes how several paparazzi were in Britney’s house
when she and friend Jamie arrived for an intervention on Jan. 28, and how they
seemed to answer to Lutfi. Lynne claims “Sam had told Britney that she was an
unfit mother, a piece of trash and a whore, that she cares more about Adnan,
her current boyfriend, than she cares about her kids, and that she does not
deserve the kids.”
His verbal abuse was not limited to Britney, as he also
threatened Lynne. “He then told me, ‘I’m the one who spends 24/7 with your
daughter. I sleep in cars outside her house so she can’t leave.’ Sam then said,
‘You people throw everyone under the bus. If you don’t listen to me, I’m going
to make your name s--t in the papers.’”
He went on to tell Lynne that Britney could not live without
him; he “told me that if he weren't in the house to give Britney her medicine,
she would kill herself. Then he said to me, ‘If you try to get rid of me,
she'll be dead and I'll p--s on her grave.’”
Lynne describes her daughter as being confused and acting bizarrely.
“Britney ... became very agitated and could not stop moving.
She cleaned the house. She changed her clothes many times. She also changed her
three dogs' clothes many times. Britney spoke to me in a tone and with the
level of understanding of a very young girl.”
Lynne also states in the documents that Lutfi told her and
Jackie and that he grinds up Britney’s pills and puts them in her food; that
she had been quiet for the past three days because she had been in a
drug-induced sleep; and that “the doctor who is treating her now is trying to
get her into a sleep-induced coma so that they could then give her drugs to
heal her brain.”
The restraining order the Spears family has obtained against
Lutfi forbids him from coming within 250 yards of the singer, her homes, her
family’s homes and the UCLA
Medical Center,
where she is being treated for severe bipolar disorder in the psychiatric ward.
He is not allowed to contact her in any way.
