Miley Cyrus’ “Breakout” from “Hannah Montana” persona is
just another way for the 15-year-old megastar to become more popular. She’s that girl
who’s sick of school and her boyfriend…but she loves him although she hates “7
Things” about him..And she’s that girl who’s sick of everybody telling her what
to do..and so on and so forth. But, wait a minute…she’s not that girl, at all.
She’s a teen idol who has lots of money and has nothing to worry about but her
image…And her image is being taken care of by other people…so she really has
nothing to worry about.
The Vanity Fair picture is almost forgiven but not entirely
forgotten, her new internet pictures where she’s wearing a wet t-shirt don’t
shock anymore so..what’s her problem now? Oh, the fact that she wants to break
free from her “Hannah Montana” persona..and…the most important part: she wants
to show the world she is mature now. Good for her! Let her try…Failure is an
important lesson and it’s better to experience it while you’re young…and
mature.
She’s so mature that she has in her “7 Things” video some 10
or 11-year-old girls who are kissing and hugging teddy bears and other
toys..and then..some of the girls start crying over something, I’m nor sure
what. But it looks very mature to me. Toy plus tears plus drama plus chaos
equals maturity.
I have to admit that, at least, her voice is pretty good. No
arguments there. And, of course, the album will be a hit. There is no doubt that
millions of “mature” teenagers who will find themselves in the lyrics will buy
the album.
The fact is Miley Cyrus is trying to be a big girl but she
still has some things to figure out. And it’s ok…she has all the time and money
in the world to explore her talents and find out who she really is.
