Heather Locklear, one of the most beautiful blondes Hollywood has offered us, is a popular actress, who has been nominated six times for a Golden Globe Award. She gained notoriety with the help of a few widely popular, long-running soap operas.
In the 1980s, she portrayed Sammy Jo Carrington on “Dynasty” and an officer, Stacy Sheridan, in the cop drama called “T. J. Hooker.” In the 1990s, Heather Locklear played the part of controversial Amanda Woodward on the pop-culture material soap opera “Melrose Place”. Afterwards, she was Caitlin Moore on “Spin City”, which was a sitcom – quite a change for an actress used to playing predominantly dramatic characters. She had a fruitful professional collaboration with television guru Aaron Spelling, given that she either starred or guest-starred in seven of his productions, namely “Dynasty”, “T.J. Hooker”, “Matt Houston”, “Fantasy Island”, “The Love Boat”, “Hotel” and finally – “Melrose Place”.
Among the actresses’ real-life partners were Tom Cruise, Ryan Ruddy, Mark Harmon and Scott Baio. Locklear was also married with Tommy Lee, the drummer of Motley Crue, from 1986 to 1993. After the two divorced, Heather Locklear married Richie Sambora, in 1994. She had a daughter with the latter in 1997. In 2006, the two filed for divorce, and a custody battle ensued for their daughter Ava Elizabeth.
Today, Heather Locklear had a run-in with the law, as she was charged with a misdemeanor, namely “driving under the influence of legally prescribed drugs”– one of the most common charges celebrities face. Back in September, Locklear was arrested for parking her car on a freeway traffic lane, thus blocking traffic on that lane. It later transpired that she was impaired, and was also charged with only one misdemeanor charge.
