Actress Liv Tyler raised questions regarding her marriage when she appeared at New York's Costume Institute Gala on Monday night without a wedding ring.
Tyler's publicist confirmed to People that the actress and her hubby, British rocker Royston Langdon, decided to go their separate ways.
"Liv Tyler and Royston Langdon have confirmed their separation. They remain good friends and devoted parents to their son Milo and are requesting that their family's privacy be respected at this time," her rep said in a statement.
Rumors suggesting that their marriage was on the rocks emerged earlier when the actress was spotted sans band at several other events. According to Usmagazine.com, she's said to have told friends that she and Langdon married too young and that she'd started looking for a new apartment in the West Village.
"In the conversation, she complained about her husband being a 'leach' on her assets, and she said she got married too young," a source told the mag.
30-year-old Tyler, who is the daughter of Aerosmith front man Steven Tyler, and Langdon, 36, tied the knot in 2003, during private ceremony at a villa in the Caribbean. The couple's son was born at the end of 2004.
