The King's 40-year-old daughter, Lisa Marie Presley and her hubby, rocker Michael Lockwood, welcomed their first children together on Tuesday, October 7, twin girls!
According to Usmagazine.com, Elvis Presley's only child "welcomed two baby girls on Tuesday, October 7, by C-section at 2:46 p.m.," at the Los Robles Hospital in Thousand Oaks, CA, her rep confirmed. "The babies weighed 5 lbs., 15oz., and 5 lbs., 2 oz."
Lisa Marie's 47-year-old husband was with her the whole time, as were Riley, 21, and Ben, 16, her kids from her marriage to Danny Keough. "The babies and mom are happy and healthy and resting at home," the rep added.
"Lisa Marie is mom to four now! She’s feeling good, a little tired too. She is so happy and Michael is ecstatic. He’s wanted to be a dad for so long. This is his dream come true. There was no drama. The babies are healthy and beautiful. Ben was seen pushing them down the hall in their cart and cooing to them," a source was quoted by Star magazine as saying.
As reported back in August, Lisa Marie's mother, Priscilla Presley, confirmed that her daughter was expecting a double bundle of joy, and that twins actually run in the family.
"She wanted it really to be kept a secret for a long time," Priscilla Presley told Entertainment Tonight, which broke the news. "And I think women should, because they should be able to announce what they're having and when it's time to make the announcement."
Lisa Marie's legendary dad, Elvis, was a twin, and her mom Priscilla has younger brothers who are twins.
Although she planned to keep her pregnancy private, the singer was forced into revealing she was pregnant after a London newspaper ran a story on her claiming she was gaining weight.
