Michael Lohan, Lindsay’s father, says his comments posted on the website of US Weekly about his daughter’s romance with DJ Samantha Ronson were taken out of context and misinterpreted.

He told the New York Daily News he did not know about Lindsay having a lesbian relationship with Ronson and he did not ask his daughter about the subject.

He says he was talking about his wife’s show, but the magazine left that part out and misinterpreted his words when he said that Lohan’s relationship with Ronson is evident to anyone with half the brain.”

Michael Lohan said he was trying to explain that it was evident the “Living Lohan” show was not about Ali, but about his wife Dina. He insisted the sexual orientation of his daughter was not his concern, as her “life choices are up to her.”

He said he had not seen any of the photos showing the affectionate behavior of Lindsay and Ronson, and neither did he want to.

"They're friends, they're always together. I hug my friends, does that make me a homosexual? Of course not," he said, according to the Daily News.

He added that he hadn’t seen any of the Marilyn Monroe photos either. "A father never wants to see those things," he said.

In the meantime, rumors spread that Lindsay intends to marry her gal pal Samantha, after she was seen sporting a diamond ring on her ring finger. She and Samantha have been recently spotted smooching and cuddling at a party on P. Diddy's yacht. Rumors about Lindsay's lesbian tendencies have been going around for a while but this marks the first time she and Ronson publicly engaged in something that hinted the rumors might be true.
