We keep reading about the public catfights between Lindsay Lohan and her girlfriend Samantha Ronson, but they only seem to bring the two closer together.

Lindsay and Sam appeared to be happy as they posed for photographers Friday evening while attending Charlotte Ronson’s Fall 2009 show at Bryant Park, New York City.

The 22-year-old actress arrived in style for the afternoon presentation of the fall collection, belonging to Samantha’s twin sister, and joined her older brother, record producer Mark Ronson, in the front row.

“It's just nice,” said Ronson. “It's nice that everyone can be here because everyone is so busy and crazy and all the schedules. So sometimes you have to hire them to put it in the calendar to make sure they make it.”

But the small family affair show, with Samantha deejaying the event, and little sister Annabelle doing the catwalk, ended badly for Lindsay and Sam who were later spotted outside exchanging harsh words, in the eve of Valentine’s Day.

According to paparazzi who witnessed their row, after exiting one of the show’s after parties, the pair got into a heated argument in the street before storming back to their hotel.

The fight was just the latest in a series of public rows that has led to speculation the couple are on the rocks, and trouble at home is responsible for Lindsay's plummeting weight.

Fueling rumors that their romance is over, the two pulled out from a scheduled Valentine’s Day appearance at a party in a Hollywood, South Florida club. The couple was set to host and DJ an event on Saturday night.

“We really feel bad, and I work sick when I can, but unfortunately I couldn’t drive to Miami, so I’m stuck in New York City with doctor’s orders not to fly,” Samantha told People. “Any reports otherwise are false and unfair.”

Lindsay herself strengthened her girlfriend’s statement saying she was indeed sick, and had slept her way through the day, denying that they had broken up.

The events planners were left in the lurch after heavily promoting their appearance. A rep for the nightclub said they were informed just hours before their scheduled joint appearance that Ronson was sick with the flu and that her famous girlfriend also wasn't feeling well.

A close source to Sam revealed to People that both of them were suffering from ear infections, and since Sam needs her ears, “flying with an ear infection is a risk she couldn’t afford to take.”

Even though Sam might actually be sick, the move looks especially bad for her career because she was out partying the night before.

In the meantime, Lindsay was seen attending a store opening and was photographed out shopping and going to lunch with a friend in New York, yesterday, a day after claiming she was sick.
