With nothing really interesting going on in her life right now, actress Lindsay Lohan is making her way back into the spotlight with various interviews.
In a recent interview with People magazine, the starlet opened up about her life before checking in the Cirque Lodge Treatment Center in Utah over the summer, her third stint in rehab last year.
"I think it was just situations that I was putting myself in," the 21-year-old "Mean Girls" star was quoted by People.com as saying at a photo exhibit last week at N.Y.C.'s The Atelier. "I was putting myself in the wrong situations and I didn't have the focus in the right place."
Lohan, who is currently filming "Ye Olde Times," with comedian Jack Black and also recording a music album, claims she is a changed woman and her current career efforts represent her new outlook on life.
"I think this is what I love to do," she told People. "I'm just continuing to do it -- in the right ways."
Just like in previous interviews post-rehab, the starlet said she distanced herself from all the negative influences in her life in order to keep herself sober.
"I did – I changed things," she insisted.
Lohan, who spent three months in Utah, where she also met Riley Giles, whom she dated for a while after returning to Los Angeles, said she is still keeping in touch with the friends she made while in rehab, and praised her family for supporting her throughout the whole time.
"My family has always been important to me, and they've always supported me," added Lohan, who reunited with her estranged dad, Michael, while in rehab. "I'm blessed to have a really wonderful family."
In the meantime, the actress is said to join the latest Hollywood trend by starting her own line of leggings. During one of her parties at home in NYC, Lohan told Life & Style Weekly, that "I'm doing my own leggings line! But it’s a secret. It will be a while before it comes out, but I’m going to do it. I love leggings."
