After having bashed her father on her MySpace blog about two
weeks ago for prying in her private life and commenting on her relationship
with Samantha Ronson, Lindsay Lohan, 22, has now picked a virtual fight with
Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin.
In an entry posted on the aforementioned website, she calls
the Alaska governor a “media obsessed homophobe,” due to Palin’s position
concerning gay people.
As it has been reported by the Associated Press, the
latter’s Wasilla, Alaska church promoted a conference that aimed at converting
gay people to heterosexuality through the power of prayer. The story was posted
by Lindsay on the blog, along with her input on the matter.
The “Mean Girls” actress had some words of wisdom about
Sarah Palin’s views on abortion, also. Lohan stated that women should be
allowed to do whatever they want with their bodies, showing her utter amazement
at the fact that in 2008, a
woman who is running for vice president of the United States would be so
narrow-minded as to deny all that.
Moreover, Lindsay expressed her thoughts on Palin’s statute,
saying that she should not pose for magazine covers anymore, since she is not
actually a celebrity.
Taking a page out her girlfriend’s book, British DJ Samantha
Ronson, urged American citizens to vote for the Democratic Party’s presidential
nominee Barack Obama.
On August 29, Republican presidential nominee John McCain
announced that Sarah Palin was to be his running mate. Palin was officially
nominated at the 2008 Republican National Convention that took place in Saint
Paul, Minnesota.
