It didn't take Michael Lohan long before striking back at his daughter Lindsay Lohan's coming out announcement, expressing his "disgust" at Lindsay's relationship with DJ Samantha Ronson.
Few days go by without a Michael Lohan rant, and the man does seem to have a problem with keeping his opinions strictly to himself especially when it comes to his daughter’s companion of choice, Samantha Ronson.
The latest tirade against Ronson was triggered by recent reports claiming Lindsay Lohan finally acknowledged the nature of her relationship with the artist, although she said she preferred to keep some parts of her life private.
Ronson, who was on Loveline radio show to talk about Travis Barker's tragic plane crash, handed the phone over to Lohan, at which point, the host asked the actress, how long has she and Ronson been together, "Two years? One year? Five months? Two months?"
"A very long time," Lohan replied among giggles. Lohan's publicist has previously denied that the pair, who are often pictured partying together, are an item.
"I hope you guys stay together. You're a very lovely-looking couple," Stryker eventually told Lohan. "Thank you very much," Lindsay said.
But it wasn’t just Lohan who confirmed her relationship with Sam. When radio DJ Stryker asked Samantha who she was going to pass the phone to asking, "Is it your lady friend?" Sam answered, "Yes, yes it is."
Media outlets picked up the story and Michael Lohan just had to have his say on the whole situation. His latest attack was via e-mail to Fox's Pop Tarts, in which he called the celebrity DJ "hideous" and "disgusting." He also accused Ronson of being the one behind Lindsay’s latest MySpace blog entries.
"There is a lot more to Samantha then meets the eyes, not that what we see is too pleasing anyway! I mean, what's with this ... 'person'??? Look at the way she 'dresses'? Once more, she uses her middle finger more than she uses words! Personally, I think she is dark, hideous and a disgusting representation of humanity," Michael Lohan wrote.
He previously slammed the DJ for Lindsay's lifestyle, deeming her a negative influence in his daughter's life.
"God will weed her out of Lindsay's life and at that time, you will finally see Lindsay back in the place where she belongs. Not doing independent films, guest starring on [a] TV show, being a guest judge on a reality TV show or making appearances at Samantha's DJ gigs," the father wrote.
Unfortunately, Lindsay couldn't help herself, either. While she could have ignored her father, she shot back in an e-mail to Page Six defending Samantha and their relationship and slamming her dad.
"My father obviously needs to be on medication to control his moods. He is out of line and his words show how much anger he has, and it’s dangerous and scary as it reminds me of how he treated my mother and I my whole childhood. He needs to be stopped. This is yet another reason why we aren’t speaking.
"I am in a great place in life," Lindsay continued. "I have overcome a lot and have been able to learn how to enjoy and appreciate my life in every way possible. I’m proud of myself for being able to make a change in the past year and a half," she said, adding that "Samantha is not evil, I care for her very much and she’s a wonderful girl."
"She loves me, as I do her," Lindsay concluded her statement.
