Who would be
better suited to earn the best mom award than Dina Lohan, mother of drug-addict
and party girl Lindsay Lohan? Or at least this is what “Mingling Moms,” a
networking group for Long Island,
New York, thinks.
The group celebrated Lindsay Lohan’s mom, as well as other
mothers with famous children, during the „Moms’ Night Out” event.
Just in time for Mother’s Day, the Mingling Moms
Organization released their 2008 Top 20 Long Island Mothers of Celebrities. The
list included the mothers of Jerry Seinfeld, Natalie Portman, the Baldwin
brothers and of course, Lindsay Lohan.
"We thought assembling such a list would be a great
tribute to the women who were behind the scenes of these superstars' tremendous
careers," said Mingling Mom's President Erica Logiudice, according to New
York Daily News.
So far, Dina Lohan was famous for her bad parenting skills,
rather than for suitably educating her daughter. She was harshly criticized for
her parenting methods, following Lindsay’s troubles with alcohol and law last
year. Dina was also accused of trying to use her daughter’s image so she can
get attention.
But this is not what Mingling Moms think.
"[Dina is] such a dedicated mom," the Mingling
Moms president told NY Post.“Through all the ups and downs of Lindsay, she has
been by her side.”
Well, these
certainly are some badly informed moms…
Considering
herself worthy for the award, Lohan, 45, immediately started to talk about how
mothers needed support and advice. She brought her 82-year-old mother, Ann
Sullivan, with her. Asked about the advice she usually gives to her daughter, a
smiling Lohan answered: "Just to be honest and to stay morally
correct. And listen to your mother."
"Listen to your mother?" Is that why young Lohan
completely lost her track?
Fortunately, there’s a good side to his event: the Mingling
Moms Organization awards dinner will benefit breast cancer research.
