A source close to Lindsay Lohan told “Access” on Sunday that the couple broke up after a series of arguments over the New Year’s period. But, outraged by all the Sam Ronson split talk, the 22-year-old actress wrote: "We did NOT break up!" in a brief post on her MySpace blog, also asking the media not to publish any other unconfirmed information about her and her “soul mate”. The "Mean Girls" star also complained on Monday that her friends had been e-mailing her to say how sorry they were about the rumored breakup with the 31-year-old Samantha Ronson.
Therefore, we are sorry to have to tell you this, but the tears you shed yesterday upon hearing about the breakup of the two, were all in vain.
Lindsay Lohan and Sam Ronson apparently had a serious argument on New Year’s Day, that had as a result Lindsay’s moving out of the home the two were sharing to get a place of her own.
According to the NY Post, it all began last Tuesday in Miami , with the two arguing despite their families being present, which had as a result Lindsay’s moving out of the home the two were sharing to get a place of her own. And, by New Year's Eve, things went from bad to worse, when Lindsay and Samantha, co-hosts at club Mansion, began to fight in public.
The war of words later turned into a physical altercation back at the hotel the two women were staying at. There was a lot of punching at each other, so much so the fight caught the attention of the hotel's security, who took photos of the room Lohan and Ronson trashed. “Mirrors were broken and it was a complete mess,” a source said.
Still, I cannot help but wonder whether the hotel will make the girls pay for the damage they caused to the room, or if they will get off easy because they are celebrities. And what is also interesting, is the fact that Lindsay’s hair extensions stayed on her head during such a crazy fight.
The altercation continued at the airport, as the two boarded a flight home. Lindsay's representative confirms the two had a fight, however, they returned together and no word has been mentioned about a split between them.
So in the end, what was it actually? Was it simply the way in which lesbians express their love for one another, or is there more to the matter? Maybe it was the fact that the two were never able to completely confirm their relationship.
All in all, both Lindsay Lohan and Sam Ronson have been under a lot of pressure lately - Lindsay Lohan is still looking for a job that she won’t immediately be fired from and Sam Ronson has a specific type of exhaustion that arises when you don’t have a proper job and your girlfriend is wearing you out.
