Actress Lindsay Lohan used her MySpace blog to say a few
harsh words about her father, who recently said in an interview with E! that he
thought his daughter’s girlfriend Samantha Ronson was using Lindsay.
Lohan's publicist, Leslie Sloane-Zelnik, confirmed the post
by Lohan was legitimate.
The 22-year-old actress, who has been estranged from her
father for many years, said that her father’s attack proved once again how
obsessed he was to get fame.
Lohan said she used to have hope that her father would
change, but she now lost it. She went on, calling her father “a public
embarrassment” and “a bully.”
“This time, without his daughter by his side he has become a
public embarrassment and a bully to my family, my co-workers, my friends and a
girl that means the world to me.”
She disapproved of his commenting to the media about her
private life, instead of telling her what he thought.
“If you have something to say to me, say it to my face-
that's what I have believed my whole life- don't be a coward and say it to
others first, let alone all the media in the world.”
Lohan, who recently filmed a guest role in US sitcom Ugly
Betty, also insisted that her father had no idea about what goes on in her
life, as she has chosen not to involve him in it. So the only information that
he has about her is “internet based” and has nothing to do with reality. She added that her girlfriend Samantha would
never “sell me out,” and neither would her mother, “who is wonderful.”
Samantha Ronson wrote a blog post on the same matter, saying
she was very angry when she heard what Michael Lohan dared to say about her.
“I really don't want to say anything because I feel like he
wins. He, being the man who is so desperate for attention that he goes to the
media whenever possible.”
Ronson insisted that she did not owe her fame to Lohan and
did not need to use her relationship with the young actress to earn a living.
“I feel no need to publicly defend my role in Lindsay's
life. I'm just sorry that she likes me more than him,” she added.
